Agents

The Agents screen allows you to monitor the automated processes that perform tasks within the system, such as receipt processing.

How to open

  • Menu: People → Agents
  • Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+Shift+G
  • Permission required: Owner

Screen layout

The screen uses a master-detail layout:

  • Left panel — list of agents split into active and inactive sections, with a search field. Each agent has an activation toggle directly in the list.
  • Right panel — read-only agent information and a usage log table with a date range filter.

What are agents

Agents are automated processes that perform tasks on behalf of the system, such as receipt processing. They appear as special users and their activities are logged for audit and billing purposes.

Field reference

Agent information

Agent details (name, username, store) are displayed in the header of the right panel. These fields are read-only on this screen.

Usage log

The usage log table shows the agent's executions within the selected period:

Column Description
Date Date and time of the execution.
Task Type of task performed.
Status Execution result, colour-coded: green (success), red (failed), yellow (escalated).
Tokens Number of tokens consumed by the execution.
Cost Monetary cost of the execution (displayed to 6 decimal places).

An aggregate summary is shown below the table, with totals for tokens and cost over the period.

Date filter

Filter Description
From date / To date Date range for the usage log (default: last 30 days).

Common tasks

Activating or deactivating an agent

Click the toggle next to the agent's name in the list. The change is saved immediately and recorded in the audit log.

Viewing agent usage

  1. Select the agent from the list.
  2. The usage log loads automatically with the last 30 days of data.
  3. To change the period, adjust the date fields above the table.

Identifying issues

Check the Status column in the usage log. Executions with a Failed or Escalated status indicate problems that may require investigation. The accumulated cost in the summary helps monitor resource consumption.
