Printing Sales¶
The Sales screen prints three kinds of document: the sale's receipt, the delivery documents and the rebar labels.
Receipt¶
The Receipt is produced by the Print button on the toolbar, once the sale has been saved. It serves as a quote or as proof of the order, and is normally handed to the customer.
Before printing, you can choose what appears on the receipt:
- Store header — prints the store header.
- Logo — prints the company logo.
- Subtotals / prices — includes or omits the prices and subtotals.
- Postscript — free text to print on this receipt.
Note
The receipt does not show every console field — some, such as the Variation, are for your control only and are not printed.
Preview all¶
The Preview all option shows every item loaded in the sale in a single view, from which you can also print. It works even with no connection to the server.
Delivery documents¶
On the Deliveries tab, the Print button produces:
- Delivery advice — proof that materials were delivered. It shows quantities only (no prices), to make checking on site easier. The customer signs a copy, which the store keeps for its records — useful mainly for partial deliveries.
- Production slip — a sheet for staff to prepare the materials. It shows no prices, only what is needed for fabrication and picking. On a partial delivery, it shows only the items of the selected delivery.
Rebar labels¶
For orders with Rebar items on a defined delivery, labels can be printed on a thermal printer (Zebra type and similar).
From the print menu on the Deliveries tab, choose the rebar labels. In the window you can:
- select the items and adjust the quantities and observations;
- choose the label template;
- set whether the label shows the delivery address and the dimensions.
On printing, the labels are sent to the thermal printer. If the printer is unavailable, a label file is saved as a fallback.
Evolving
Advanced label features (preview and new templates) will be added in future.
