Sale Deliveries¶
This page covers delivery of the current order — the address (the Delivery address tab) and the scheduling of deliveries (the Deliveries tab). Both tabs apply to quotes and orders.
Note
Tracking deliveries across several orders by date is done on the separate Deliveries screen (coming soon). This page covers only the deliveries of the order open on screen.
Delivery address¶
Fill in the delivery address here. Quotes, collected orders and for-collection orders need no address; it is required for orders to be delivered.
- Client address — fills the address from the customer's record (set the customer first).
- Prior addresses — shows the addresses already used by this customer, most
recent first; double-click or press
ENTERon the one you want. - You can also fill the fields in by hand — the address is kept for future use.
Note
Save the order so the address is recorded.
Deliveries¶
The Deliveries tab schedules and tracks the order's deliveries.
Delivery type¶
| Type | Meaning |
|---|---|
| UNSPECIFIED | No delivery defined yet. |
| COLLECTED | The customer collected the materials at the store. |
| SINGLE DELIVERY | Everything is delivered at once. |
| PARTIAL DELIVERIES | Delivery is made in stages, on different dates. |
| FOR COLLECTION | The materials are set aside for the customer to collect. |
Scheduling the delivery¶
For COLLECTED, SINGLE DELIVERY and FOR COLLECTION, fill in the Delivery date, the Date delivered, the Delivered by and the Observations. The item table shows what is to be delivered.
For PARTIAL DELIVERIES, build several deliveries:
- + New delivery creates a new delivery; − Remove removes the last delivery not yet made.
- Select items in a console and use Add to delivery (on the category bar) to include them in the active delivery. The system tracks the remaining quantity and warns you if you exceed the order total.
Status¶
The Status button shows the progress of each item:
- Remaining — not yet scheduled or fully delivered;
- Programmed — scheduled for delivery;
- Fully delivered — delivered in full;
- Overdelivered — delivered beyond the order quantity.
The delivery type locks after the first delivery
Once a delivery has been made, the delivery type can no longer be changed. Save the order to record the delivery changes.
To undo or revert a delivery already entered, use Cancel Order → Cancel / revert delivery (see Sales).
Printing¶
From the deliveries tab you can print a Delivery advice or a Production slip. See Printing Sales.
